STL to Speak on Vapor Intrusion at Battelle Conference

Severn Trent Laboratories, Inc. (STL) Air Testing Business Development Manager Gina Plantz will speak on ensuring data integrity for sampling and analysis for Vapor Intrusion (VI) pathway investigations at an upcoming industry conference.

The Battelle-sponsored event is called “Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds: The Fifth International Conference” and will take place on May 22-25, 2006 in Monterey, California. The theme of the conference is the role of technology as it relates to characterization, treatment, and monitoring of chlorinated and other recalcitrant compounds in the environment.

Along with representatives from GeoSyntec Consultants, Inc., Ms. Plantz will be a course instructor for “Managing Vapor Intrusion Sites” on Sunday, May 21st. This 4-hour session will cover a focused range of topics pertinent to the VI pathway. Topics will include the technical, regulatory, and business aspects involved in managing contaminated sites where the VI pathway is a concern. The course is geared toward consultants, regulators, and environmental managers.
