STL Announces Capability to Produce EPA-Validated "SEDD"

PRESS RELEASE

Date September 5,2006
For Immediate Release

Severn Trent Laboratories, Inc. (STL) has developed the capability to generate an EPA-validated Staged Electronic Data Deliverable (SEDD), benefiting federal agencies and analytical data users in their environmental decisions. SEDD is a standard electronic data delivery for environmental programs, created in a joint effort by the EPA and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). These analytical data deliverables are generated as Extensible Markup Language (XML) files and are transmitted efficiently.

As a major advantage for industry users, SEDD can be implemented in stages, which allows laboratories to meet Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD) requirements for multiple programs. The various stages are based on the amount and complexity of the data required by the user, as agency or program needs change. SEDD allows users to link analytical data to laboratory activities and provide full data traceability.

As an EPA-validated SEDD Commercial Laboratory network, STL continues to be a resource for multiple EPA Region Contracts, Contractors, and USACE Districts requiring this format.
