TestAmerica Speaks on New Energetic Method, SW-846, 8330B at the 5th Annual EM/DQ Workshop

Larry Penfold, Federal Program’s Quality Assurance Manager of TestAmerica Laboratories, Inc., will be presenting on EPA Method 8330B at the 2008 DoD Environmental Monitoring & Data Quality Workshop. The presentation will be held on April 2, 2008 in Atlanta, GA.

TestAmerica is the first laboratory to receive USACE approval for Method 8330B. In response to the demand for information about the new method, TestAmerica formed and led the 8330B Workgroup in fall 2007. The workgroup identified and implemented 13 changes to the method, 7 of which offer significant improvements over traditional method 8330A. Method 8330B introduces multiple considerations designed to optimize the analytical process over 8330A, which prescribes a single alternative. Navigating options under this method toward optimizing the analytical process to best suit specific project needs requires an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages, which will be discussed in this presentation.
