Investment at TestAmerica’s Buffalo Laboratory Drives Expansion and Innovation

TestAmerica's Buffalo, NY laboratory recently executed a 10-year lease renewal at our 10 Hazelwood Drive, Amherst, NY location, ensuring that TestAmerica will be a long-term resident of the Greater Buffalo community. This news comes on the heels of the facility's decision to complete a 4000 sq/ft expansion of its 32,000 square foot facility, which will be completed by early this fall. The planned expansion will provide for additional space and enhanced work flow design in critical lab production areas that include: sample receiving and storage, metals prep and analysis, organic prep and wet chemistry departments.
TestAmerica's investment in facilities is complemented by a parallel investment in technology. The successful installation of a highly customized, proprietary laboratory information management system (LIMS) provides the platform for service innovation. Customers of TestAmerica's Buffalo laboratory are now benefiting from greater reporting and data management flexibility and are being introduced to brand new web based project management tools through TestAmerica's online service TotalAccess. "For our customers, convenience is key. The investments we make are in direct response to those demands," said Chris Spencer, Laboratory Director.
To further address the demand for convenience, TestAmerica has also added a new service center location in Albany, New York. This new facility provides a localized presence to assist customers with logistical support, sampling supplies and local project coordination to address the unique needs of the upstate community. "We have long had a solid client base in the greater Albany area, but realized that in order to drive new growth, our customers needed these convenience elements. Since our official opening in early April, we have been overwhelmed with the positive response of our customers," Mr. Spencer added.
