Vapor Intrusion Assessments - Part One Introduction to Collecting Quality Vapor Samples with Comment on U.S. EPA’s Recently Released Technical Guides

Tuesday, June 30, 2015 - 1:30 P.M. Eastern

About this webinar:

The process of systematically evaluating the indoor inhalation risk from sub-surface vapors began with the EPA's publishing of "OSWER Draft Guidance for Evaluating the Vapor Intrusion to Indoor Air Pathway from Groundwater and Soils" in 2002. That document served as the genesis for the multitude of regulations, programs and methods that are being employed in this arena today.

As these regulations and programs have developed and matured, the overall process of collecting and reporting quality data has become a difficult highway to navigate. This presentation will focus on clearing the landscape to facilitate navigation through the sample collection process in support of these regulations and programs.

The presentation will be given from the perspective of an environmental testing laboratory and our 15 years of experience supporting Vapor Intrusion investigations.

TestAmerica will be hosting Part Two on Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Topics the presentation will cover:

  • Regulatory overview – new guidance just released from U.S. EPA on 6/11/15
  • Sampling methodologies and challenges for soil gas, sub-slab & indoor air
  • Equipment: considerations, handling, troubleshooting
  • Managing an air project with the laboratory; what you need to know

Who should attend?

  • Consultants and Engineers
  • Regulatory Officials
