Burton Blackburn has over 25 years of experience in environmental laboratory methods development, quality assurance, operations, and management. He was one of the original developers and co-authors of Method 1311 (TCLP). As project manager of a USEPA-German bilateral agreement to harmonize analysis methods, he worked extensively in Germany and gained an understanding of European methods.

For the last eleven years, Mr. Blackburn has managed the Asian operations for TestAmerica and has gained a unique understanding of environmental monitoring and analysis requirements in Asia. He has provided technical and management leadership in the design and start-up of laboratories in Korea, Philippines, and Thailand. Additionally, his project management experience for TestAmerica extends to twelve countries in Asia.

Mr. Blackburn earned his BS in Biology from Virginia Tech.
