Information Collection Request (ICR) for New and Existing Coal
and
Oil-fired Electric Utility Steam Generating Units
Members of the Coal and Oil-fired Electric Utility community have been mandated by USEPA to participate in an Information Collection Request (ICR) process that will lead to final rule making for MACT emission standards. As a result, affected utility companies are faced with the challenge of preparing and implementing detailed sampling and analysis plans under aggressive schedules. • HCl/HF - Method 26A • PM 2.5 - Method OTM27 • HCN - Method 33 • PM 10 - Method OTM28 • Metals - Method 29 • Formaldehyde - Method 320 • Mercury - Method 29 and • Methane - Method 18 (mod) Ontario Hydro
The sampling and testing of source emissions from electric utility steam generating units is a complex and exacting science. Implementation of a successful program will require close coordination of stack and laboratory testing experts. TestAmerica has the demonstrated ability to design and execute a laboratory plan that meets the requirements of the ICR. The sampling and testing associated with this ICR far exceeds what utility companies have had to accommodate in the past. Companies can benefit from the expertise of a qualified laboratory versed in the test applications now required under the ICR. Services available from TestAmerica include:
