Inside the 'Black Box' of an Environmental Testing Laboratory - Basic Analytical Procedures, Part 3

Tuesday, November 3, 2020 - 1:30 P.M. EDT

About This Webinar:

Part 3 of a 4 part series. The goal of all environmental projects is to collect relevant and valid data to support sound environmental decisions.  To accomplish this goal, environmental professionals need a basic knowledge of the inner workings of the “Black Box.”

This presentation will provide an overview of the information which needs to be coordinated between the regulated project team and an environmental testing laboratory to successfully execute a project.  It provides background information regarding the sources and uses of existing published methods.  It provides an overview of organic and inorganic analytical methods and when to use each.  Most importantly, it provides details regarding how, what and when to communicate with the laboratory representatives to ensure project completion and success.  Lastly, it will provide insights into the final deliverables and documentation regarding anomalous results.

What You Will Learn:

  • Who writes and publishes analytical methods and where can I find them?
  • What items should be considered during the method selection process?
  • When and what should I communicate to the lab?
  • What methods are available and what are the differences?
  • What information is documented in the case narrative?
  • What is the final deliverable?

Who Should Attend?

  • Field Samplers
  • Project Managers
  • Consultants and Engineers
  • Regulatory Officials
  • Commercial and Industrial Stakeholders

A question and answer session will immediately follow the presentation. At the conclusion of each webinar, you will be asked for your feedback and opinions for future webinar topics to be developed by Eurofins Environment Testing America(EETA).
